There are plenty of things you can do for the environment on your own. Even at a festival. Here’s a brief, incomplete list.
-Travel eco-friendly! Bus, boats or train are nice. Bikes even nicer, even if that might be a bit of a hassle. Are you driving? Do your friends AND the environment a favor, and car pool! Are you flying? A lot of airlines have programs for carbon compensation these days, ask your airlines for details!
- Eat eco-friendly. Red meat might be good, but not so much for the environment. Veggies are rock’n’roll as anything. Fortunately our food stands has plenty of options that are good for both the environment - and your stomach. Also: avoid single use barbeque grills, and use ours. Better suited for BBQ, and better for the environment!
- Litter eco-friendly! We’ve made recycling bins available easily at the camp site, if you use these, we’ll be very happy because we won’t have to pick up your garbage, and you might be a little happier too, from your good conscience!
- F**k eco-friendly! Avoid unwanted pregnancy and overpopulation, use a condom. And recycle it.
It doesn’t have to be harder than that. Even if there’s plenty more you could –and should! –do. But why not let Hove 2O1O be a start? |
